The Magic Water Bottle

For some reason Matthew thought this water bottle was hilarious!!! Sometimes I wish that we could read his mind to see what he is thinking about.





We went to church this morning and Matthew did OK in the nursery. The girl said that he cried a little and got upset sometimes but when I got there to pick him up he was asleep and stayed asleep in my arms until we were talking with Pastor Laurie.

The service this morning was beautiful. One of the choir members sang this beautiful song arranged by Mark Hayes called "Take My Life and Let It Be Consecrated" and I thought it was the perfect song for my father and I to sing when I visit Alabama at the end of the week. We are looking for the arrangement but cannot find it anywhere at a site that you can print right away. The only way to buy the song is to wait for the company to ship it in 2 weeks. I am so frustrated with that tonight...maybe we will be able to find the song in time.

An update on my friend who was in the car accident...She was admitted to the hospital and will have surgery on her arm in the morning. Please pray for her that everything will go smoothly.

Matthew is getting SOOOOO big. I am tired so I thought that tonight I would just post some recent photos of Matthew.

P.S. One of my great Aunt's friends was going to come and visit us today. She never came and I got worried about her because if she got lost trying to find our house she would have called. I tried to call her several times but she didn't answer her phone. Finally a few hours after she was supposed to visit we called and someone answered her phone saying she had been in an accedent. We were worried but finally found out that she was fine and just might have broken her wrist. Please keep her in your prayers because she doesn't have very many friends around town.

I have already posted some of these pictures of our entryway but I will post again. We are so happy to be in our new home. We still have A LOT of decorating and unpacking to do so the walls are kinda bare right now. We are slowly, but surely, getting everything put in its place. I thought that I would also post some pictures of our outside and yard as well.

Electrical Problem Resolved (I hope)

Tonight Matthew was able to have his night light back in his room because they have fixed the electrical problems in our house. We cleaned the condo and got it ready for the renter...but...the renter apparently has not applied for rental through our association so I do not know what is going to happen tomorrow. He was supposed to move in tomorrow but we haven't heard anything from him. Now I am really nervous so pray that everything will work out.

I am cutting this post short tonight because I am tired and need to get ready for bed. Hopefully I will have pictures of Matthew's new room tomorrow and new pics of our house on the inside.

Getting Settled In

Finally, we are getting ourselves settled into our new house. Last Wednesday evening was the first night we spent in our house and it was crazy. The movers came late in the afternoon and into the evening so we didn't get the bed put together until late (or early in the morning). We were soooo tired on Thursday morning but we had to get up early to go take the U-Haul back. Matthew was a trooper through all of the chaos around here those few days. The first night he had to sleep in his play yard, but he fell asleep in his car seat first because we had to make a late night trip to Wal-mart to get diapers. We also didn't have dinner because the movers were late so we ate around 11:00 p.m. (I felt horrible being out that late with Matthew) In any event we are now moved into our house. I am still unpacking boxes but can actually see that the end is near.

Despite all the craziness we had a great 4th of July. Actually, the evening was great but during the day we waited all day for Comcast to come install our cable, internet and phone. Needless to say we didn't get our services until today due to technical problems with the signal outside our house. The city of Homestead puts on a huge fireworks show on the 4th and we could see the entire show in our backyard. The fireworks were really pretty reflecting on the lake. We also met a very nice couple that moved in during the same time we did.

No Internet Yet

Hi!!! We still do not have our internet up and running so I have to keep this post short. I am on Seth's blackberry internet account that runs VERY SLOW. We are basically moved in except for a few trips that we can make tomorrow. We are, unfortunatly a little behind on moving the rest of our stuff because people keep coming by to install (or say they can't install) the cable, internet and phone. We also have some electrical issues with Matthew's room so we have to wait for Lennar to come and take a look at that.

Hopefully I will be able to post some 4th of July pictures tomorrow.
