United Teachers of Dade Picnic

Today we went to the evil union's....I mean the United Teachers of Dade's annual picnic. It is one of the great ways that our TEACHER'S UNION pays tribute and shows appreciation for all of the hard work that teachers do throughout the year. Come to think of wonder so many hard-working teachers love their unions so much...the union is usually the only organization that shows appreciation for what teachers do. Just to give you an idea of what all our union does...we offer professional development to teachers, paraprofessionals, and clerical staff throughout the year. These professional development opportunities give teachers more knowledge on how to become better teachers and for paraprofessionals to become highly qualified so they can move up into higher positions. In short, yes the union does offer protection to teachers but they also offer many opportunities for professional growth. The union IS NOT in the business to protect BAD teaching, they offer classes and professional development to help teachers who are not doing so well to get better.

Here are some pictures of today's events....

  1. What a fun day. Here in Ohio, they are wanting to take away our right to collective bargaining. Unions here are in an uproar!
