The Magic of Christmas morning

So I know that Matthew will probably not remember this Christmas but I know that this morning he sensed that it was a very special day. First of all we woke up at 4:00 a.m. and opened presents. Matthew loved all of the wonder and excitement with waking up at 4 in the morning. It was so nice in our living room with the Christmas tree and stockings...since it was so early it was still dark outside and the glow of the tree made the morning magical.

This was the first present he opened up. Nana and Pop left it under the tree back when they visited for Thanksgiving. After he opened it he didn't want to let go of it to open more presents. He was so happy with his book!!!

I don't know who is more excited in this picture...mommy or Matthew???

He just went round and round in circles with his little alligator pull toy.

I swear he is jumping up and down saying "LOOK WHAT SANTA BROUGHT ME!!!!!"

Pure excitement!!!

The real reason we got up so early was to make our trip to Alabama. I wanted to leave by 5 or 6 in the morning so we could make it home in time to visit with family. More on Christmas night tomorrow!!!
